NWFF - Shorts Program and Filmmaker Q&A

  • NewWest FilmFest - Landmark Cinemas 10 800 Carnarvon Street New Westminster, BC, V3M 0G3 Canada (map)

Short films are not simply shorter movies. The constraint of time means a filmmaker tell their story quickly and concisely. Successful short films will call on a wide variety of tools to draw you in with a few words or a brief scene. Setting the stage, introducing the characters, and revealing the central conflict must happen fast so the story can be told in the remaining time.

We are inviting local creators of these short films to participate in a brief Q&A session afterwards.
